  • If you have a long layover at Charles de Gaulle Airport, visit the chateau. It is just 20 minutes from the airport.
  • The chapel should be your first stop during your visit because it has a 10-minute introductory video about the castle explaining how it was built, its history, and how different it is from the one in Versailles. 
  • An unusual experience to look out for is sighting kangaroos on the grounds. There is also a beehive next door that you can visit. If you’re traveling with children, they’ll especially appreciate these experiences.
  • If you are short on time, yet want to catch a glimpse of the gardens, board the Petite Train. It is a 35-minute guided tour in French, English, Chinese, and Spanish. 
  • Guide dogs are the only animals allowed inside the chateau; no other pets are allowed.
  • The chateau is available for film shoots and private events/tours. If interested, enquire at the reception desk.
