Walt Disney Studios Park | Lights, Camera, & Action

Walt Disney Studios Park | Lights, Camera, & Action

Inspired by the best of cinema, animation, and television, Walt Disney Studio Park opened on March 16, 2002. Being the second of two parks in Disneyland Paris, this one was a whole lot different from the first. As the CCO of Walt Disney Imagineering, Bruce Vaughn described it–it looks a bit like a studio and a backstage, with a bunch of gray warehouses.

But, behind those gray walls are whole other universes, filled with fun, action, rides, entertainment, and so much more! Keep reading the guide to plan your trip to Walt Disney Studio Park.

Explore the five ‘studio lots’

Front Lot

Welcome to the glamorous world of Hollywood! The Front Lot serves as the park’s entrance and is home to the Earffel Tower (a faux water tower with Mickey’s ears) and Disney Studio 1 (reconstruction of a street in Hollywood). It’s the perfect starting point to immerse yourself in the magic of filmmaking.

Fact: The entrance courtyard's name, La Place des Frères Lumière, pays homage to the French inventors of cinema.

Production Courtyard

Step into the Production Courtyard, where movie-making comes alive. Take the elevator up the Tower of Terror, catch a live show of the adorable blue panda, Stitch, and have a chance to meet with your favorite Disney characters. End your visit with a sweet treat of Mickey Waffles.

Worlds of Pixar

Dive into the colorful worlds of Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille and beyond, with rides, attractions, shopping, and restaurants based on Pixar’s animated classics. That’s not all, you can also capture memorable moments with Pixar pals and fill up on some ‘treats to go’, including Worlds of Pixar cupcakes.

Toon Studio

Imagine if you could be a part of your favorite Disney movie! At Toon Studio, you can. From flying over the Kingdon of Agrabah with Aladin to attending the Animation Academy to learn about how your favorite characters were created, this zone is inspiring and bursting with creativity.

Marvel Avengers Campus

The park’s latest entrant, the Avengers Campus invites you to join Earth’s mightiest heroes and become a part of the MARVEL universe. From helping the Avengers save the world to training to be Spiderman at the Hero Training Centre, the campus is driven by missions and visited by heroes.
