Choosing weekdays over weekends is your best bet if you want to visit the Louvre with peaceful ambience. As the museum remains closed on Tuesdays, you will most probably find a larger crowd on Wednesdays. June through September is when Paris has its highest visitor numbers, which results in crowded attractions, exorbitant prices, and often warmer weather. If you want to avoid the crowds and save money, the months of January through April are much better!
